Enjoy this …
Who else wants a solo acoustic guitar album from this guy?
Here’s another YouTube video on this. It didn’t include a code for embedding, but if you follow the link you’ll be rewarded with a closer view of Alex’s hands as he plays this. I wish the videos sounded as nice as the recording on “Snakes & Arrows,” which I highly recommend.

Here’s another Four Lane Highway flashback.
When me and the boys were playin’ this one, it was always a lot of trouble getting Larry into his makeup. He thought the black-and-silvery face paint clashed with his eyes, so Deven and Doug had to hold him down while John and I applied the cosmetics. John hated that, because the gunk on his fingers was slippery and he always ended up dropping a drumstick later.
Of course, I could be remembering this all wrong. There was a lot of beer some nights.
My brother Mark ran sound boards and lights for us many times, and I’m sure he would have loved getting to play with some of the pyrotechnic gear in this video.
Have fun.

My Four Lane Highway bandmates and I really liked Southern rock, and that meant we liked the Outlaws.
This one was fun to play.
Come back next week for another Tuesday Tunes (FLH edition) to see another video of original artists playing songs we covered.

Here’s another Four Lane Highway flashback.
FLH is the band my buddies and I played in together for several years, and these Tuesday Tunes (FLH Edition) posts present the original performers doing the songs we played.
The cool thing about this one is all we needed was one guitar, and we could do it anywhere.
This video is pretty awful, and if I find a better version I’ll swap it out. No time now.

I’m interrupting my series of “Four Lane Highway” edition Tuesday Tunes posts for a wickedly cool drum solo. I’ll be back next week with another FLH post (in which I find YouTube videos of bands playing songs covered by the band I used to play in.)
