As we wait to see Daniel Craig’s last mission as super spy James Bond in “No Time To Die,” many people are speculating about the next actor to take up the role.
I do not know who is in line for the job, but I do know what I would like to see in the next reboot for this movie series. I want it to go retro.

“Dr. No” launched the series in 1962, and I would absolutely love to see Bond portrayed once again in the same period. Give me those fashions, those cars, those low-tech spy toys, those Sixties-vibe villains. Take me back to the mood that made me love Bond movies in the first place.

Don’t get me wrong. I have enjoyed many of the modern-era 007 films. I thought Craig was great in “Casino Royale” snd “Skyfall.” But I think the technology available to today’s Bond — constant contact with MI6, a phone that can do almost anything, hacking from a remote location to gain information the original Bond had to break into places to get — has given many of the movies a certain sameness in recent years. I think going back to the 1960’s would make everything seem fresh again.
What do you think?
